                               Dwights Bread

Dwight's Bistro in Jacksonville Beach, FL is a hidden jewel. Known by the best foodies, locals and anyone who's ever had a personal chef it by far gets my vote for the most intimate dining experience in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

First, MAKE A RESERVATION! If you're driving down Penman Rd after 8pm Tues-Saturday it's worth just glancing over to see the parking lot of Dwight's just packed. If you drove by there at 6pm it might look completely vacant. So don't be surprised if you walk in at 6pm and they ask you if you have a reservation, just make a reservation. This place is all about the planning, careful detail is put into EVERYTHING when they say everything is homemade and from scratch, it's the truth, everyday. It would be like planning an intimate dinner party at your home and having unexpected guests show up so if you're looking for a personalized experience, very intimate then make a reservation. Can they handle a drop in, well of course, however, I would recommend make a reservation.Dwights Ravioli

This is a dining experience, the restaurant is very cozy. The staff is extremely attentive and strives to make sure your every wish is granted and that your experience is amazing. To start, we were given bread, again from scratch made daily and WOW I knew immediately we were going to be there a while as I savored every crumb trying hard not to overeat and ruin my appetite for the rest of the meal. Despite my best restraint I decided to make it a whole hearted effort for my review and enjoy a salad prior to my entree. I went with the chopped salad. Again, fresh....yes you could hear Dwight chopping it, the aroma from the salad hit me when the server placed it delicately on the table. Amazing, to say the least, my taste buds were in full time party mode. I'm a sucker for anything with hearts of palm however it's hard to get a salad that the taste is not overpowering. This was the perfect combination nothing overpowered the dressing was very light and since having this I am convinced I need to order it as a weekly staple as I've not been successful in eliminating it from my dreams. For the entree, I went with the ravioli. The special was a mushroom ravioli, it was the perfect serving size and at that point, considering the bread, I knew I'd have a little left over for lunch the next day. The ravioli was unbelievable, cooked perfect, the tomatoes in the sauce tasted like they were picked that day. Of course I felt obligated to order dessert and ended the evening with the ke,y lime cheesecake which again was a 10+.

Don't judge a book by its cover, this is not in a super fancy high end shopping center, it's tucked away in a very small commercial district. If you're a local there really is no reason to drive over the ditch for fine dining, if you're a townie instead of heading to San Marco, head to Jacksonville Beach, FL. After you have an amazing dinner you will need to stroll off that food and we have a beautiful moonlit beach for you to enjoy. It's no surprise that Dwight's Bistro in Jacksonville Beach, FL has received many accolades and consistently gets voted one of the top restaurants in our area. So make a reservation and come enjoy a Jacksonville Beach, Fl dining experience like no other.
